Bluetooth to serial adaptor

Class 1 Bluetooth to serial adaptors with a standard antenna are effective to around 30m range*.

With two paired bluetooth devices, no computer configuration is required to make a serial link. Available paired and preconfigured for either SP PRO or PS1/PSA settings.

Dipole Antenna

Replaces the standard antenna and extends the effective range up to 80m*.

Patch Antenna

Replaces the standard antenna and extends the effective range to around 300m*.

Maximum effective working distances:

• Default Antenna - Default Antenna 30 meters
• Default Antenna - Dipole Antenna 50 meters
• Dipole Antenna - Dipole Antenna 80 meters
• Patch Antenna - Dipole Antenna 150 meters
• Patch Antenna - Patch Antenna 300 meters

* The effective range may be reduced by local radio interference such as WiFi, microwave ovens, or cordless phones and by barriers such as walls and ceilings.

Patch Lead

1 metre extention lead for Bluetooth patch antenna.

USB to Serial Adaptor

If your PC does not come with an unbuilt COM port you may need a USB adaptor - unless you are able to use the PC's inbuilt Bluetooth device to connect to one of the above serial adaptors.

This particular device works well without dropping data packets, which many cheap units do.
