Introduction
  Selectronic Australia Pty Ltd is a wholly Australian owned company servicing
the electronics industry within Australia and overseas.
The company has a Melbourne-based production facility where it designs
and manufactures a wide range of wire wound components and a range of
high quality sine wave power inverters.
Background
Selectronic Components
was established in 1964 by Mr. Brian Scott, a qualified Electrical Design
Engineer with eighteen years experience in the Radio and Television
Industry.
The company prospered
servicing the wire wound electronic component needs of that industry
and was incorporated in 1976. Due to an ongoing rate
of growth and expansion, the Company embarked on an exciting restructure
in 1995, incorporating the name change to Selectronic Australia.
Current Activities
Selectronic Australia
has two divisions, the wound component division and the electronic assembly
division.
Electronic Assembly Division
The electronic assembly
division commenced in 1983 with the introduction of a range of modified
square wave power inverters to the Australian market place. Today this
division manufactures a range of state of the art sine wave inverters.
The excellent performance
of these products is a result of this divisions's very strong research
and development team, committed to using the latest technology to develop
the best products.
Wound Components Division
The wound components division
is proudly positioned as one of Australia's leading winding specialists
in the design and manufacture of high frequency ferrite transformers
and inductors, toroidal inductors and toroidal power transformers. A
range of services are provided to ensure the customer receives not only
a product of the highest quality, but also one which meets all the specification
requirements. The wound components division has both high speed automatic
winding facilities enabling competitive costing and short lead times
for large volume production runs, and facilities to cater for smaller
production runs and prototyping.
Quality
 To
ensure consistent quality of product to the customer, Selectronic Australia
have put in place an effective Quality System to complement and continuously
improve all aspects of the Company's operations. As a result of a full
systems audit by Quality Assurance Services, Selectronic have gained
accreditation to the International Quality Standard for production and
servicing, AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000 (Licence No. QEC 6419).
